What is it?
Beta-C, a moisturising and facial re-firming complex containing Beta Hydroxy Acid, the newest member of the Hydroxy Acid family and Stabilized Vitamin C. The ingredients formulated into Beta-C represent the latest technology in the battle against skin ageing. Beta Hydroxy Acid continually rejuvenates skin by increasing the rate of cellular renewal, sweeping dead skin cells, flakiness, dry patches, and discoloration.
Vitamin C continues to simultaneously encourage collagen formation and strengthen connective tissues for firmer more youthful facial contours
The Benefits of Use...
Beta Hydroxy Acid, known as salicylic acid, is a superior exfoliant that improves the appearance of ageing sun-damaged skin. It is effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall facial texture.
The dual action of Beta Hydroxy and Stabilized Vitamin C gives longer lasting results on the skin.
Salicylic Acid is more effective for oily skin because it is lipid soluble. It can penetrate the oil in pores and dissolve the dead skin cells stuck inside. It may also be less irritating than AHA’s because it appears to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Salicylic Acid will fall lower in the list of ingredients than AHA’s because LESS is needed to produce results - just 1% to 2%. BHA (beta hydroxy), salicylic acid is the next generation for improving the appearance of aging skin. It exfoliates without irritation. It has been found that BHA, Salicylic Acid, is effective with as little as 1/5 the concentration typically found in the most commonly used Alpha Hydroxy.
Vitamin C also supports cellular renewal and production of collagen (the skins major structural support). As a primary antioxidant, it sweeps out and neutralises free radicals (unstable oxygen molecules responsible for breakdown of cells that precedes ageing and disease).
How to use it...
Apply to facial contours AM & PM. Alternate with other Pharmagel moisturisers. Can be used on top of
